A few days back, Samsung started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 update for the Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005). The update included changes to the UI, such as the translucent status bar and the white icons on it. There were also some performance improvements, resulting in higher benchmark scores and faster unlocking of the device. The update was first made available to the Polish users via Kies and later to others in stages.
The Galaxy Note 3 was launched by Samsung in the month of October last year along with the Galaxy Gear. It has a 5.7″ display, 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor, 3 GB RAM, 16, 32 and 64 GB internal memory options, 13 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front facing camera. It originally ran on Android 4.3. Let us now see how to update it to Android 4.4.2.
