[How To] Install AOKP (Android 4.3) ROM on the HTC One

We have recently seen many tutorials on this site with regards to installing the latest AOKP ROM on Android devices. The HTC One is the next device in the line. The AOKP ROMs, popular among users for the plethora of customizing options that it offers, is fairly easy to install on devices. And with the ROM allowing users to run Android 4.3 on their devices, this is surely one of the must have ROMs for everyone.

The One is HTC’s latest flagship device launched earlier this year. It had pretty impressive specs: 4.7″ LCD display, a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2 GB RAM, 32 and 64 GB internal memory, 4 MP ultrapixel rear camera and a 2.1 MP front facing camera. The device ran on Android 4.1.2, coated with HTC’s own Sense 5 UI, with an Android 4.3 update made available this month. [How To] Install AOKP (Android 4.3) ROM on Sony Xperia ZL

The Android Open Kang Project (AOKP) developers have started rolling out Android 4.3 ROMs for various devices. Their ROMs are very popular among users for the array of customizing options that it offers. As a result, their new ROMs are an added bonus for users with devices which haven’t yet received an official Android 4.3 update and are still stuck on the previous versions. Although this latest ROM by AOKP is still in the nightly stage, it is surely worth trying it out and a new build is made available by the team after every three days.

The Xperia ZL was launched along with the Xperia Z earlier this year. It featured the same specs as the Z: 5″ 1080p LCD screen with Sony’s Bravia Engine 2, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage expandable up to 64 GB and Android 4.1.2 upgradable to 4.2.2. The only major difference between the two phones was that the Z is waterproof and dustproof whereas the ZL isn’t. The Z also has a glass back whereas the ZL doesn’t and the ZL features a hardware camera button which is absent in the Z. We have already seen how to install CM 10.2 ROM on the Xperia ZL. The Android Open Kang Project (AOKP) ROMs offer the most number of customizing options to its users than any other ROM. This range from changing the height, amount of transparency of the navigation bar, adding shortcuts of your favorite apps to it, applying images to the notification bar, creating your own custom vibrations for notifications from different apps and much more. These features are what make the AOKP standout among other ROMs and makes it popular among the Android community.

The Android Open Kang Project (AOKP) team recently started rolling out their Android 4.3 ROMs for various devices. The AOKP ROMs, best known for their numerous customizable options, are quite popular among the Android community along with the other famous ROMs. And the team have started developing latest nightly builds, codenamed jb-mr2, for Android devices. Fortunately for the Nexus 4 users, their device is one of the first to get this ROM.

The Nexus 4 is Google’s latest phone in the Nexus series. Collaborating with LG for the manufacturing of the device, the Nexus 4 was launched last year and ran Android 4.2 with an Android 4.3 update made available this year. With the announcement of a new Nexus device looming large, developers are releasing their new ROMs as soon as possible owing to the large user base of the Nexus 4. We have already seen how to install this ROM on the Nexus 7 (2013). We shall now see how to install it on the Nexus 4.
