[How to] Disable Noise Suppression on HTC One

HTC One, released in February this year is HTC’s flagship device. It has a quad-core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 32 or 64 GB of storage, a 4.7″ 1080p Super LCD 3 display with 468 ppi, a 4 MP “Ultrapixel” camera and a 2300mAh battery. It also has Blinkfeed, Zoe and Boomsound features which gave it an added punch.

HTC promised a better phone call sound quality but this was not seen in the device. If the phone is moved at certain angles while on call, the person on other side of call wont be able to hear the sound clearly. This is because the noise suppression is enabled by default. XDA developer grgsiocl has created a mod that will disable the noise suppression. Follow the instructions given below to disable noise suppression.

[Mod] Use Volume Buttons to Take Pictures on HTC One


HTC One was launched a few months ago with some great features. One thing that was missing from the HTC One was a separate physical button to take pictures. XDA Senior Member Matt has created a mod allowing for the volume buttons to act as a physical camera button. The mod is based on the latest version of the Camera.apk and will work with any deodexed Sense-based ROM. Rapid shooting can also be activated by holding down the volume button.
