[How To] Update Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (N7100) to official Android 4.4.2

Samsung has began rolling out the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the International Galaxy Note 2 (N7100). The update was first spotted today in France by users which received it via OTA. As OTA updates are always released in stages, it may take a while for everyone to get it on their devices. Luckily, the OTA link has been captured and you can manually install the update via Odin rather than waiting for it to arrive via OTA.

The update, other than allowing users to run the latest version of Android on their phablet, brings about many other new features. These include UI tweaks such as the white status bar icons on the transparent status bar, full screen album art and a Nexus-like TV screen off animation. The update also results in faster performance along with wireless printing and NFC tap-to-pay support. A camera shortcut has also been added to the lockscreen. Follow the below steps to update your Galaxy Note 2.
