[How To] Update Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) to leaked Android 4.4.2 Firmware

The Samsung Galaxy S4 received official Android 4.3 update in the month of October last year. The update brought support for the Galaxy Gear along with new features and some UI changes. And while the Nexus devices and some of the Motorola phones have already got the Android 4.4 update, Samsung are working on the new update and are expected to release it in either February or March. News of their work has now been confirmed by an Android 4.4.2 test firmware for the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) that has been leaked on SamMobile.

The most noticeable change is, of course, the transparent status bar and its green icons being changed to white. The update also brings about performance improvements along with higher benchmark scores, a much better Samsung keyboard layout in landscape mode and a camera icon on the lockscreen.
