Samsung’s latest flagship device, the Galaxy S5, has a 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and 2 GB RAM. It also has 16/32 GB internal storage which can be further expanded via MicroSD card, 16 MP rear camera, 2.1 MP front camera and 2800 mAh battery. The device was launched a couple of months back and runs on Android 4.4.2.

[How To] Root Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F)

Samsung launched its latest flagship device, the Galaxy S5, last month. It features a 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2 GB RAM, 16/32 GB internal storage which can be further expanded via MicroSD card, 16 MP rear camera, 2.1 MP front camera and 2800 mAh battery. It also has fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor, is dust and water resistant and runs on Android 4.4.2.

The device hasn’t been released yet but a way to root the International variant of it (SM-G900F) has already been achieved. The credit for it goes to XDA Senior Recognized Developer Chainfire whose CF-Auto-Root tool roots the device and installs the SuperSu app on it. Follow the below mentioned steps to easily root your Galaxy S5. Do note however that the method has been tested to work only for the SM-G900F variant, so do not try this on any other model as it may brick your device.

Samsung Galaxy S5 enters mass productions; Rumored to have a 5.25″, 2560×1440 display

According to some rumors, Samsung Galaxy S5 mass production has already started with Samsung planning to release the Galaxy S5 early next year.

Galaxy S5 is believed to have a 5.25″ AMOLED display with a very high resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. Vivo Xplay 3S, released recently, became the first smartphone to have 2K display and the Galaxy S5 will follow suit.

Samsung Galaxy S5 set to launch in March/April along with Galaxy Gear 2

HTC has started the work on its 2014 flagship with the HTC M8 and now even Samsung have started planning for the Galaxy S5. Along with the S5, Samsung will also launch the Galaxy Gear 2.

A report from South Korea states that the Galaxy S5 production will start in January 2014 and Samsung are expected to make 6 million units by the end of February.

Just previously several reports divulged information on the fact the Samsung is working on a 64-bit CPU which will arrive in 2014/2015.
