After last week’s Android 4.4.1 update for the Nexus devices, Google has released another small update, Android 4.4.2, for the same devices. The update includes fixes for clearing and delivering the VM Indicator, some software fixes and few security enhancements. The update is a mere 1.66 MB one if you are already on Android 4.4.1. You can also directly update from Android 4.4 to Android 4.4.2 if you haven’t yet installed the Android 4.4.1 update. The links and the procedure for both the types of updates for the Nexus 5 can be found below if you haven’t yet received the update via OTA and wish to install it manually.
