The 2012 Nexus 7 tablets never received an Android 4.4.1 update after initially getting the Android KitKat OS. Now however, its users can be thankful to Google as an Android 4.4.2 update has arrived for their Nexus 7 devices. The update takes users directly from Android 4.4 to Android 4.4.2 bringing along bug fixes and security enhancements for the device. If users haven’t yet received the update via the standard OTA way, they can manually install it and experience the latest Android OS.
