Vivo has officially unveiled their Xplay 3S Android smartphone, which is the first phone to have crossed the 2K resolution barrier.
We have seen a rapid transition from 720p displays to 1080p displays and now Xplay 3S comes with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels which is approximately 490 ppi.
Along with the 2K display, Vivo Xplay 3S has all the high end specifications. It has a huge 6″ screen, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU, Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB RAM, stereo speakers, DTS sound, 32GB storage, 3200 mAh battery and LTE connectivity. Xplay 3S also has a 13MP rear cam with f/1.8 aperture and even a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Vivo will most probably not be launched outside the Asian markets but soon the bigger brands are going to introduce devices with more than 2K resolution with Samsung and Oppo both planning their next flagship devices.
