Xiaomi have launched a new low-end device in India – Xiaomi Redmi 3S. It is the successor to Redmi 3 and has few upgrades over its predecessor.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S has 2GB RAM and 16GB storage while its variant Redmi 3S Prime has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Redmi 3S Prime also has fingerprint sensor. All other specs are same.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S has the same 5″ display as seen in Xiaomi Redmi 3. However, it is powered by Qualcomm’s new 64-bit class Snapdragon 430 octa-core SoC and Adreno 505 graphics engine.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S has a 13MP rear camera while the front camera is 5MP. It has a huge 4,100mAh battery which will easily last 2 days.
Xiaomi also announced that the new MIUI 8 will be coming soon to Redmi 3S, bringing exciting new features, such as the ability to take scrolling screenshots, calculate currency conversions, create dual app log-ins, or access split phone profiles.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S is priced at $105 while Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime will cost you $135. Both devices will be available from August 9 in India in a flash sale.
