Xiaomi have launched a new phone in the Redmi series – Xiaomi Redmi 3S. It is the successor to the Redmi 3 that was launched in January and it has some bumped up specs. Like Redmi 3, this phone belongs in the low-end category.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S sports a 5.0″ HD screen. It is powered by Qualcomm’s new 64-bit class Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor and Adreno 505 graphics engine. It has 2/3GB of RAM and internal storage is 16/32GB. It can be expanded up to 128GB with the use of microSD card.
Other features include 13MP rear camera with 5-physical lens, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), HDR, full HD video recording, 0.1 second phase focusing speed while the front camera is 5MP with f/2.2 aperture, full HD video recording ability, face-recognition feature, 36-intelligent self-portrait selfie styles. It also has a metal body, fingerprint sensor and runs on Android Lollipop.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S is available in dark gray, gold and silver colours. 2GB/16GB variant is priced at $107 while 3GB/32GB variant is priced at $136. It will be available in China from June 16.
