Mi 4

Xiaomi has started the process of rolling out Android 6.0.1 update for Mi 4. It becomes one of the first manufacturers to roll out official Android 6.0.1 update outside of Nexus and Android One phones.

Xiaomi Mi 4 has directly received Android 6.0.1 update skipping Android 6.0. The latest Mi 4 build number is MMB29M, compared with an older MMA58K tag that appears for the Mi Note and is listed on Xiaomi’s forum for the Mi 4.

Xiaomi Mi 4 users wont notice too much changes as Xiaomi has still kept MIUI 7 for the Marshmallow update. The update is only 100MB in size. Xiaomi has started the initial roll out. Not all the devices will receive the update together as it is rolled out in batches.

Xiaomi has posted features of Marshmallow on its website – immersive status bar now has global support for all apps, the file management UI has been simplified, and there are new controls for the type of USB connection mode you want when you connect up to your PC.
