Xiaomi recently had a launch event of Redmi Note 3 in India. At that event, Xiaomi’s vice president (global operation) announced the company’s flagship smartphone Mi 5 will be made available in the coming weeks. Now Xiaomi are sending out event invites for 31st March.
This will likely be the launch of Xiaomi Mi 5. Whether the premium Xiaomi Mi Pro will be launched in India is still not clear.
Xiaomi launched 3 variants of Mi 5. Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro has a 2.15Ghz Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt memory. While other variants consists of 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory and 1.8GHz Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB internal memory.
Other specs of Mi 5 Pro and Mi 5 will remain the same – 5.15-inch full HD display with finger-print sensor at the bottom, latest Android Marshmallow OS based MIUI v7.0, 16MP Sony IMX298 rear camera, 4MP front camera, 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
