Yu, which is a Micromax subsidiary, have launched a new device in India – Yu Yunicorn. It has the price of a mid-range device but it boasts great specs.

Yu Yunicorn has a 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) IPS screen with 2.5D glass coating. It has pixel density of 401 ppi. It is powered by 1.81GHz MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) octa-core processor and comes with a huge 4GB of RAM.

The internal memory of Yu Yunicorn is 32GB which can be expanded up to 128GB with the use of microSD card. It has a sleek all-metal body and has a fingerprint sensor which doubles up as the Home button.

Yu Yunicorn features a 13MP primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and an equally impressive 5MP camera.

The battery capacity of Yu Yunicorn is a massive 4,000mAh which can keep the phone awake for close to 500 hours under standby mode. One disappointment is the OS version – it runs on Android Lollipop, but Yu have promised Marshmallow very soon.

In the first month, Yu Yunicorn will cost Rs.12,999 and thereafter it will cost Rs. 14,999.
