A while ago, we have seen the announcements regarding the appearance of the first Tegra 4-based handset in the world. This was suppositioned through the leaks, & even now this has been leaked online. The source to this information has been posted by none other than ZTE itself.
Dubbed as the ZTE Geek U988S, this device is speculated to arrive in fiery red along-with a few major specifications changes over the ZTE Geek , its base model. The use of an Intel chip was a notable development with the ZTE Geek, however ZTE Geek U988S will come with NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 SoC instead.
According to previous reports, it is regarded that the Geek U988S will feature a Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) 5-inch LCD screen, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, and a CPU clock speed of 1.8GHz. Based on reports from the TENAA filing, it is construed that the new Geek will likely be the world’s first phone to pack this quad-core chip.
The reports state that this device has very little chance of being sold outside China. This is due to the fact that this model will operate on China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network and it is primarily a China Mobile exclusive. Some tidings also report that there could be a global version coming sooner or later, however there is no confirmation to back this claim.
